Bonneville Streamliner Update - August 15, 2008 | |
Film Crew joins the SUPERSHOW / Team Arrow Motorcycle Land Speed Record Attempt at Bonneville | |

August 15, 2008... Wendover, Utah... Shooting begins this week as Whistlestop Productions, of Bloomfield, Ontario, joins us at Bonneville for the first installment of their new "Off Limits" television series for High Fidelity HDTV Inc. Executive Producers, Dave and Stacey Hatch are developing the series which will premiere on HDTV's Equator HD Channel in Canada. The series will be taking viewers to all sorts of places that are generally off limits beginning with a behind the scenes look at the Canadian attempt to break Bonneville's longest standing land speed record, for 500cc motorcycles, that was set by NSU in 1956 at 211 mph/ 339 kph. SUPERSHOW and Team Arrow Racing are pleased to be the first production in the series. Dave Hatch and his crew will be meeting up with us at the Bonneville Salt Flats this weekend, after having filmed the final 'Crew Night' at Bob Williams' Team Arrow Racing in Windsor, Ontario, as they completed work on the Streamliner prior to heading for the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Production will focus on SUPERSHOW Show Producer, Bar Hodgson's preparation and initiation at the Salt Flats before moving into his qualifying runs, the preparations in the pits with Team Arrow, and Bar's actual land speed record attempt near the end of the week. A number of variables will determine the schedule at Speed Week, including weather, winds, condition of the salt, etc. This year's biggest challenge seems to be the number of entries that are coming in from all over the world (with race vehicles of all descriptions). We're anticipating long line-ups for runs on the salt. This web-site will keep you posted on daily events when possible, and we will post information for the airing of "Off Limits" when that becomes available. This promises to be an exciting 1 hour documentary. Whistlestop Productions is the producer of Canada's Motorcycle Experience weekly TV series, hosted by Dave Hatch, the "Pit Crews" documentary series, as well as "Backstage Secrets" a behind the scenes look at Canada's iconic Rock Band, Rush.
