People were drawn towards the Vincent and we were pleased to say we had ridden it there. A very comfortable ride at that. |
On Thursday, June 10th we rode our 1953 Vincent Rapide up to Haugen's famous BBQ Restaurant in Manchester to meet up with the 300 + other motorcyclists who rode in to check out the action. There are always great bikes to look at and interesting people to talk to. Not to mention great food to be had in the Restaurant and at their outdoor Snack Shack! Sponsored by Q107, there are a number of exciting special features scheduled this summer, including live bands, free draws and new model unveilings that you won't want to miss. Check out www.haugensbbq.com. Manchester is located just west of Port Perry on Highway 12. | |

Steve Tzounstzouris, emcee and co-owner of Haugen's does the honours of drawing for some great prizes under the bandshell. If you ride in you are given a ticket that enters you in the draws. |

Haugens Triumph Night Thursday, June 24th![]() Photo: Hedy Hodgson

Triumph Canada made an appearance on June 24th at Haugens to unveil the new 2300cc Rocket 3. The SUPERSHOW Roadshow decided to bring out some vintage Triumphs to help support the event. Shown here are Bar Hodgson (left) on a restored 1959 Triumph Bonneville and Ken Livingstone on an all original 1972 Triumph Trident, both bikes from the SUPERSHOW Collection. We were to rendezvous with Max and Jackie Burns for the beginning of the SUPERSHOW's 'Ride With Max', with contest winners Harold and Vanessa on bikes supplied by Triumph, but when we arrived (if you haven’t heard already) we received the bad news that Max had been injured in an accident aboard the new Rocket 3 while road testing the bike for Cycle Canada. Max is now doing fine and is recuperating back home. We continue to look for his glasses. The Ride dates will be re-scheduled to September to become a 'Fall Colours' Ride. See Max's website for more details: www.worddust.ca Just as we finished unloading all 7 bikes from the SUPERSHOW Trailer clouds started to move in. Bikes began to leave with the threat of rain and it eventually became a downpour so we piled our bikes back into the trailer and called it a night. Well, after we ate some of Haugen’s famous ribs we called it a night. Triumph was good enough to supply us with a photo of the Rocket 3 to post here.
