If you've met John Williams you know that besides being one of the most accomplished Canadian Motorcycle Racers (let alone a Hillclimbing Racer) he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He doesn't race anymore but he's an avid motorcyclist and has lots of stories to tell. If you haven't met John Williams, you'll get that chance at the 2007 International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW, where John will be the Guest of Honour in the Historic Hillclimbers Display being presented by the Wheels Through Time Museum from Maggie Valley, North Carolina!

The idea for this unique exhibit came about when John was visiting with Founder and Curator, Dale Walksler at the North Carolina Museum and the subject of the SUPERSHOW came up. The enthusiasm of these two couldn't keep them from planning an exclusive Hillclimbing display for the SUPERSHOW's audience that will be sure to impress and inspire visitors to Hall 5 where the display will be erected. Both John and Dale will be there all weekend to talk about the bikes and the sport of Hillclimbing.

John Williams raced from 1958 to 1993, accumulating wins and championships all over the world. In fact he is a five time World Champion and holds records that still stand at many hills. He won the American Grand National Championship 7 times, the Canadian National Championship 10 times, plus 33 State Championships! His sons Greg and Wade also became accomplished hillclimbers. He is well known as an innovator in the sport, developing better bikes and changing attitudes about what it takes to win in hillclimbing.
