SUPERSHOW PLANS BIG CHANGES FOR 2007

From Bar Hodgson, Show Producer

Exciting new plans are in the works to expand SUPERSHOW 2007 from the current 350,000 square feet, occupying six Halls of the International Centre, to 425,000 square feet occupying seven Halls.

Relocation of specific Hall content will allow us to provide individual focus on each Hall, simplifying Show content layout for the public. Now it'll be easy to key in on exactly what exhibitors, booths, or clubs you want to see most, and then more effectively target your time for the other great features throughout the seven Halls", says Show Producer Bar Hodgson.

Current plans call for Hall 4 to utilize an enlarged public entrance. This will deliver show attendees directly into Hall 4, the new Racer and Competition Hall, celebrating all aspects of competition and performance.

In addition to showcasing racing-related exhibiting companies, clubs, associations, and displays of performance motorcycles, the new Hall 4 Racer Hall will again feature the Joe Rocket Racers' Stage and the Annual MAX (Motorcycle Awards of Excellence) Awards Presentation.

Hall 4A will feature a new major exhibition on the History of the Motorcycle from early to modem times, with more than 60 motorcycles of special importance covering the evolution to modern motorcycles. Presented by the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, this professional exhibit will be presented in a fashion similar to the 'Art of the Motorcycle' recently held at the Guggenheim in New York City.

Related exhibiting companies, clubs, and associations will also be invited to exhibit in Hall 4A. In addition, a new themed family restaurant will help in the celebration of the motorcycle.

The International Centre's prestigious Hall 5 has been booked for SUPERSHOW 2007, and will relocate the entire custom motorcycle content to this special Hall. The intention of the move to Hall 5 is to elevate the chopper phenomenon to celebrity status at SUPERSHOW 2007.

Hall 5 is connected to the current six halls by an indoor walkway, making it all effectively one venue. A new Hall 5 entrance will deliver SUPERSHOW attendees directly down the central red carpeted 'Main Street' into an additional 75,000 square feet themed 'Choppers: The Art Form'.

Large displays of custom motorcycles from known builders and private entries will showcase in front of the Hall 5 Main Entertainment Stage. Stage activities will include live bands, fashion shows, and of course the Showbike Awards Program featuring the highest purse ever offered in Canada.

Hall 5 will also feature commercial exhibitors involved in this hugely popular industry, such as aftermarket distributors, accessory suppliers, painters, chromers, and manufacturers of production customs. An enlarged Restaurant and Beer Garden area will also add to the social atmosphere of this dedicated Hall.

All these moves will also have a positive effect on Halls 1, 2, 3, and 3A, as Halls 1 and 2 will re-focus on the touring and cruiser aspects of motorcycling. Huge numbers of clubs and associations – more than 70 in 2006, the biggest number ever – will as ever be on hand to look for new members and to explain what they're all about. The social side of riding is a big one, and an emphasis on that side of the sport in one of the reasons for SUPERSHOW’s great success over the decades. The January get-together at the SUPERSHOW is the motorcycle social event of the winter, where friends get together and new friendships are made.

Halls 3/3A will continue as the Industry Halls, with exhibitor booths covering all aspects of motorcycle goods and services available for purchase. The reorganizing of the overall show layout means that Hall 3 - traditionally a crowded focal point of the SUPERSHOW - will greatly benefit through improved layout of exhibitors and more aisle space to better accommodate the SUPERSHOW's growing attendance, and alleviate overcrowding.

According to Hodgson, "We are very excited about these positive changes and the benefits they will provide to SUPERSHOW 2007's exhibitors and attending motorcyclists. Best of all, the changes will be piggy-backing on many of the successful items that for 30 years have made the SUPERSHOW so popular with the motorcycling public - the club and social aspects, the SUPERSHOW Used Bike Market, live bands, fashion shows, airbrush demos, and much more.

The continued growth of the SUPERSHOW, North America's Largest Motorcycle Show, along with the ongoing Show upgrades and the free parking provided, means that SUPERSHOW 2007 attendees will continue to enjoy the best admission price bargain of any Show in North America as the SUPERSHOW expands into the future!"
