MID-USA Motorcycle Parts Presented $25,000 in Cash Awards & Prizes for Showbikes at SUPERSHOW 2002

There was some spectacular competition in the Mid-USA sponsored Showbike Awards this year!

Our winner in Level 4 - Pro Builders class - Marc Tourigny, from Montreal, QC with his bike 'Sterling' won Best Bike in Show which gets him $5,000 cash, a 6-foot Trophy and the Canada Cup for the finest Showbike in Canada. Sterling also won Best Paint, Best Plating and Best Artwork. Well deserved Marc!

Our Level 3 - Builders Class winner was Roger Beaulieu, of Fenwick, ON and his bike 'Evolution', based on a 2000 Rolling Thunder custom softtail, shown here with his 5-foot Trophy and $1000 in Cash. We grabbed this picture just as Roger was taking down his display at the end of the Show.

Second place in Pro Builders class went to Sylvain Viau from Chateauguay, QC for his totally hand-built 2002 Harley-Davidson 'Sound Seeker'. This eye-catching bike also won Best Use of Colour, Best Engine, and Best Detail.

This customized 1998 Suzuki GSXR, owned by Frankie Attard, of Brampton, complete with nitrous, Jet Ket and 791cc bored engine was one of our top 20 finishers in Level 3. 

One last photo of a beautiful bike that came up from Maryland, USA. This bike, affectionately called 'Wetspot' shown here with owners Reid and Juanita Ward, took second place in Builders Class. Reid loved the SUPERSHOW and said it was definitely worth the long journey. They made a lot of new friends and hope to return next year, probably with a brand new creation. In all 4 levels of competition, 292 bikes were entered in the 2002 Mid-USA Showbike Awards for cash and trophies!
